GCSE PE Exams for Year 10

So you can plan ahead – the Practical Exam will involve all students demonstrating their understanding of circuit training.  This is practical, you will be marked on:

1. Warm-up

2. Use of pulse rate checks to monitor progress at the beginning and end of the session, including pulse rates taken 1,2,3,4 and 5 minutes after the exercise has stopped.

3.  You will be expected to bring a circuit – printed or written out on paper/card and including a. the exercise b. the number of repetitions at each station OR the time that will be spent at each station.  I would suggest you use between 6-8 exercises, and you complete 3 circuits.  If you need to get ideas on what to do – take a look here at Austin & Friend(s) when circuit training, or here at this site.

And here are some fun ideas….
