Canbury Junior Football v CA (H) Sept 16th 2010

This proved to be another evenly balanced, keenly contested afternoon between Canbury and CA.
Canbury A team got off to a good start in their 1st match but it wasn’t until just before half time before Braden scored. After the turn around one of the more expensive transfers this summer – new signing Alex VT-H scored. CA were not to be denied though – and through their star player Harvey, they pulled one back. This wasn’t to be the end of the story though as Alex found the visitors net for a second time.
Result 3-1

In the B Team 1st game, the game was even more finely balanced – no goals but plenty of chances in the first half. Then CA scored. Shortly afterwards Louis equalised.
Result: 1-1

In the rematch Canbury again started well – and Braden scored. However, CA bounced back and with 2 goals took the lead. Braden in the 7th minute then scored a Canbury equaliser, and somewhat unluckily for CA, Alex crafted a brilliant goal almost out of nothing in the dying seconds of the game. Much lauded by RF Metters Esq who arrived in time to see a far chunk of the 2nd matches. CA were very unlucky not to have at least drawn this match – as they missed an open goal (when missing was harder to achieve than scoring!) and they also hit the post…
Result: 3-2

B Team rematch
CA slightly strengthened their B team, and in the end this proved to be too much for the B team.
Result: 0-3

A very evenly matched game with some lucky goals from both sides. Epic music on the video too which definately adds something.
