A few minutes – no commentary – and little footage – shot by one of the subs 😛

PS – a good overall result – but the filming can ONLY get better!
So the season got under way in solid style – just 2 weeks in and our first game(s). Center Academy are long established rivals and good neighbours – we hope to get a few more matches in the Spring Term… and will try and make sure that there is a Home & Away fixture (11-a-side, weather permitting.)
Canbury “A” v CA “A” won 4-1
Canbury got off to an excellent start with an early goal snapped up by vcpt James E. However, CA responded, and at half time the score line was very much level. The game looked very evenly balanced and both teams were well matched. Captain Turkay had other plans however, and soon his 1st goal, he scored another – and then another! In the end Canbury strode off the pitch feeling pretty good about themselves.
Meanwhile Canbury “B” were playing CA “B”, and with goals from Christo, Dylan, Joe and a brace from Robert won comfortably 5-1.
Canbury “A” v CA “A” – the rematch drawn 3-3
There was a short break. CA moved a couple of players between their two teams. Pouya – who had played well in goal in the first match, now moved into a defender’s position with Angus puling on the ‘keeper’s gloves. In this 2nd match Canbury started well – Mazigh scoring what the home side assumed was the first of many. Not so: the next scorers were in black and red stripes… Canbury found themselves 1-2 down. However, Turkay scored before half time – once again the scores were level.
After the break Canbury seemed too relaxed – CA had much the better half – and scored a 3rd goal – and missed an easy opportunity. I thought Canbury were lucky not to be 2-4 down!
Luck or not, James Evans scored from an impossible angle – the game was drawn!
In order to give some of the players a chance of a game, Canbury then put together a”C” team to play what turned out to be a slightly stronger than it had been B team.
Despite Kamiar scoring a consolation goal. Final score 5-1 to CA.
